WEEK 1 - BASE BASICS
Thursday 6th of Feb
In this welcoming session we focus on kindness, boundaries, and accountability to build and maintain healthy relationships. We explore effective skills to navigate difficult conversations with friends and families, whilst upholding a strong relationship with self. We will discuss the core concepts of healthy self-esteem and body acceptance.
WEEK 2 - ENTERED THE CHAT
Thursday 13th of Feb
In week 2 - we will explore sense of belonging and inclusion within the online world and in persons connection. Build online safety skills to minimise harm from unrealistic beauty standards, toxic trends and unhealthy comparisons. Discuss strategies for self-acceptance, inclusion and aligning online presence with healthy core values.
WEEK 3 - HEALTHY & STRONG
Thursday 20th of Feb
In this session we will guide teens through practical strategies for maintaining a balanced lifestyle and we will cover the impact of nutrition on cognitive function, mood, and self-compassion. We discuss core strategies to how to feel your best through healthy habits, such as mindfulness and modelling normal eating (including healthy snacking.)
WEEK 4 - UNIQUE YOU
Thursday 27th of Feb
In the final week of the program we will discuss strategies to navigate changes in the sense of self for the present time and the future. This includes navigating physical changes, peer relationships, and academic pressures & celebrating differences amongst the community. Discuss prioritising healthy mindsets and understanding limits through a compassionate lens. We will also have a small program graduation celebration towards the end of the session.
