Run by a Dietitian and a Social Worker, BASE delivers essential health education focused on preventing and managing eating disorders and mental health challenges among today’s teens, their families, and communities. We prioritise promoting body acceptance and self-esteem as core components of our services.

BASE BESTIES - AMELIA & LILY

Connected through our joint passion for mental health, a special friendship full of lots of laughs and banter was developed!

Amelia and Lily collaborate as facilitators of BASE, combining their expertise to empower young people, their families and communities to embrace their authentic selves.

Amelia, the Dietitian, specialises in all things nutrition and advocates for body acceptance, size diversity, and access to nutritional care for all bodies.

Lily, the Social Worker, is passionate about trauma-informed practice and shares tips on how to build on self-compassion and manage the compounding pressures of social media and beauty ideals.

Together, they create a supportive environment where participants can engage with these crucial topics with empathy and empowerment, promoting inner resilience and well-being within the community.
